Survey shows EMR/EHR adoption rate still low
According to preliminary figures from the federal 2011 National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, just one -third of physicians offices have a “basic” electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) system.
While adoption of EMR/EHR systems has gradually grown, it is doubtful that the rate of adoption will meet the federally mandated 2014 date.
